I was born on the Island of Haiti known since Columbus as " The Pearl of the Antilles ". I was bedazzled by the beauty of its flora and fauna, the hills, mountains, rivers, forests, sea, sunrise and sunset. It was an enchanted place that the imagination of its inhabitants has filled with fairies, loas, saints, talking animals and angels. The marvel contributed to my interest in poetry, folkloric and classical music and painting. Thus I wanted to be a Renaissance Man.
