A man's son is killed in a motorcycle accident and he turns to a local witch to summon a creature out of the pumpkin patch to take its revenge, half of the film is a bit of a cheesy slasher as these out of towners are punished for their crimes but it is also a haunting folk tale with heaps of atmosphere, regionally specific practice and a heartwrenching story about grief and tragically sympathetic magic
